Challenges
REMONDIS Group companies have started testing a new electric garbage truck. The vehicle required systems that allow monitoring its operation, tracking the waste collection process, and recording the containers collected.
Solution
The garbage truck was equipped with an integrated system package that collects and displays all data on the ICHI System platform:
- Video Monitoring
Cameras mounted on the vehicle capture the working area and the waste collection process. The footage is available in real time on the ICHI System platform, and the system archives recordings as documentation in case of complaints or traffic incidents. - GPS Tracking
The GPS module allows dispatchers to track the truck on a map in real time. ICHI System records the route, enables comparison with the schedule, and supports the optimization of future trips. - RFID Identification System
Each container includes an RFID tag that the system automatically reads during collection. It sends information about the time and location of emptying directly to ICHI System, enabling full tracking and eliminating manual reporting. - ICHI Integration
ICHI System consolidates data from cameras, GPS, and RFID into a single dashboard. Dispatchers can view the vehicle’s route, the list of emptied containers, and camera footage in one place, significantly enhancing oversight and simplifying fleet management. - Reporting and Analytics
The ICHI System platform enables report generation for cities and clients, including routes, working time, RFID collections, and visual confirmations. The solution supports transparency and allows quick resolution of citizen inquiries.
