RFID Transponders

The most frequently used device for waste bin identification is RFID transponder. There are many kinds of RFID transponders in terms of dimensions, shape and operating frequency in accordance with used technologie and waste containter type: LF, HF or UHF. Those RFID transponders are the key part of the identification system which is capable of monitoring the waste bins, frequency and purpose of their collection. Combined with dedidacted hardware and software it enables to control, supervise, summarize and appraise the waste collection.

FDX-B BDE (EN14803) Bin Tag

The “cork”-shaped transponder housing allows it to be mounted in garbage cans equipped with a mounting slot. It is waterproof and resistant to chemicals as well as mechanical damage. Additionally, installation is very easy and quick, and can be done manually by screwing or pressing the tag into the slot.

The HDX tag is used to record the presence of 120- and 240-liter containers during a lifter operation.

Data protocol:  EN 14803, DIN 30745

Basic frequency: 134.2kHz

Work mode: Full Duplex

Mouting method: screwing, pressing

Dimensions: ø 30mm (+-0.5mm)

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: orange

Filling colour: black

FDX-A (Unique) Bin Tag

RFID transponder housing in a durable “Cork” shape enables easy installation in waste bins with a mounting slot. It is waterproof and resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage, while manual screw-in or press-fit mounting ensures fast installation for waste management systems.

Basic frequency: 125kHz, 134.2kHz

Work mode: Full Duplex

Mouting method: screwing, pressing

Dimensions: ø 3mm (+-0.5mm)

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: black

Filling colour: black

HDX BDE (EN14803) Bin Tag

Transponder housing in ‘Cork’ shape enables to install them into the waste bins equipped with mouting slot. It is waterproof, as well as resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Very easy and quick mounting can be handled manually by screwing or pressing the tag into the slot.

Data protocol: EN 14803, DIN 30745

Basic frequency: 134.2kHz

Work mode: Half Duplex

Modulation:  FSK

Mouting method: screwing, pressing

Dimensions: ø 30mm (+-0.5mm)

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: grey

Filling colour: black

LONG RANGE/ON METAL HDX BDE (EN14803) Tag

These transponders are designed for waste bins without mounting slots, such as metal bins. They are waterproof and resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Moreover, installation is quick and easy, performed by attaching (riveting) the tag to the side of the bin.

Data protocol: EN 14803, DIN 30745

Basic frequency: 134.2kHz

Work mode: Half Duplex

Modulation:  FSK

Mouting method: riveting

Dimensions: 50mm x 45mm x 15.5mm

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: grey (other colours on demand)

Filling colour: black

UHF Bin Tag

This transponder is used to identify waste bins in Ultra High Frequency (UHF) technology. Moreover, the “Cork”-shaped housing enables easy installation in waste bins with a mounting slot. In addition, it is waterproof and resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. As a result, quick and easy manual mounting by screwing or pressing the tag into the slot is possible.

Data protocol: EPC Gen 2, optionally DIN 30745

Basic frequency: 865-869 MHz

Work mode: Half Duplex

Mouting method: screwing, pressing

Dimensions: ø 30mm (+-0.5mm)

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: green, black

Filling colour: black

UHF Tag for container identification

This transponder is used to identify waste bins using Ultra High Frequency (UHF) technology. Its reading range extends up to several meters, making it ideal for identifying container- or bell-type bins. Additionally, its hermetic plastic housing provides resistance to harsh weather conditions and chemical exposure.

Data protocol: EPC Gen 2

Basic frequency: 865-869 MHz

Mouting method: riveting, bonding

Dimensions: 155x32mm (+-0.5mm)

Protection rate: IP68

Housing colour: grey
